More about Socktober

Dear Alton Darby Families –

I am excited to share with you the video from our International Dot Day celebration on September 15th!

Again, thank you for helping us coordinate this amazing experience for kids!
Enjoy the video!

International Dot Day
It’s official! We are going to create the most amazing human dot outside
on September 15th with our friends at Darby Creek to celebrate International Dot Day!
We are asking students to wear the following colored T-shirts on September 15th.
1st Grade – Yellow
2nd Grade – Orange
3rd Grade – Red
4th Grade – Green
5th Grade – Blue
The T-shirts can be any shade of their color.
Thank you parents for helping your child to remember to wear their grade level color.
Dot Day is about “leaving your mark on the world”, and we are going to do just that.
We have been reading “The Dot” by Peter H. Reynolds, who created Dot Day and who asks us to “Imagine the power and potential of a million people all around the world connecting, collaborating, creating and celebrating all that creativity inspires and invites.”
